THE SHARE SIDE OF TRAVEL™

ABOUT ME

Hi…I’m Roy.

The curious traveler behind MazéVue™

Say it with me: mah-zay-vü.

Maze, for the twists and turns. Vue, the French word for view. Another perspective on travel.

I’m Roy Ramkissoon, the creator and owner of MazéVue™.

MAZEVUE began with a simple belief: travel decisions become easier when someone helps you look beyond the attractive first number and understand what may be happening underneath it.

I wanted to create a place where people could slow down, ask better questions and see another side before deciding what to do next.

But travel is only one part of my story.

Here I am, snagging a meal in the dorm kitchen... because every good adventure eventually leads to food.

MOVEMENT HAS ALWAYS MATTERED TO ME

Health, movement and lifelong learning are important parts of my life.

I’m an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, a Human Movement Specialist through Brookbush Institute, and Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified. I’m also a certified Tai Chi instructor and am currently completing the Five Element Qigong Mastery and Teacher Training program with White Tiger Qigong.

I keep myself active through the regular practice of Tai Chi and Qigong. These ancient movement arts help me maintain strength, mobility, focus and a calmer mind.

They continually remind me that caring for our health does not always have to involve rushing, punishing workouts or chasing perfection. Sometimes it begins with learning to breathe, move and pay attention.

TEACHING HAS TAKEN ME PLACES

I’m also a TEFL-certified instructor, and that journey included a stint in Costa Rica.

Teaching has given me opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds, listen to their stories and discover how much connection can grow when we approach one another with patience and curiosity.

ONE OF MY BOLDEST ADVENTURES

One of the most memorable chapters of my life was living and working as a volunteer math teacher in a remote jungle community in Guyana.

It was certainly an adventure... and yes, it was fun.

Living far from the familiar taught me a great deal about adaptability, community and how much we can learn when we step outside our normal surroundings.

It also strengthened my belief that travel can offer more than photographs and destinations. It can improve our perspective, create meaningful relationships and sometimes reveal strengths we did not know we had.

WHAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED

My Christian faith is an important anchor in my life.

It guides the way I try to treat people, approach service and remain grounded while continuing to learn and build. I do not pretend to have every answer, but I believe honesty, kindness and respect are good places to begin.

Those values also shape MAZEVUE. The purpose of this site is not to pressure visitors or confiscate their judgment. It is to offer a clearer view and allow each person to make their own decision.

WHY I BUILT MAZEVUE

MAZEVUE is a personal, independently operated educational website.

It is not a travel agency, booking platform, law firm or financial adviser. I research, write, build and maintain the project because I’m fascinated by the prices, conditions, systems and commercial relationships that can shape a travel experience.

The site may eventually earn income through clearly disclosed affiliate relationships. If a link can compensate me, I want visitors to know that plainly. Compensation should never purchase a conclusion or quietly hide behind a recommendation.

WHAT I HOPE WE BUILD HERE

I hope MAZEVUE becomes more than a collection of pages.

I would love for it to become a place where curious people learn something useful, make new friends, build stronger relationships and discover how travel can support a healthier, more connected and more meaningful life.

If we were sitting together over coffee, I would not expect you to agree with every conclusion I reach. I would simply invite you to look a little closer, ask another question and keep the final decision yours.

Thank you for stopping by…

I’m glad you found your way here. ❤️ 😎

Perhaps one day, we’ll share that coffee.
